Consecutive Interpreting definition
The interpreter writes down the speech using a special note taking technique. The passages will be either interpreted sentence by sentence or in sections. This depends on the situation.
During consecutive interpreting the interpreter stands or sits next to the speaker.
An interpreting booth is not required, but this interpreting mode is a lot more time-consuming and affects the dynamic of the situation.
Suitable for: business meetings, bilateral talks, presentations

Verbandsübergreifender Neujahrstreff' der Rhein-Neckar- Dolmetsche Januar 2015
Liebe KollegInnen,
wie die letzten Jahre findet auch dieses Jahr wieder der Neujahrtreff' der Dolmetscherinnen und Dolmetscher im Rhein-Main-Gebiet statt. Auf Grund des positiven Feedbacks werden wir uns wieder in der Goldenen Rose in Heidelberg-Kirchheim treffen.
Herzlich eingeladen sind alte und junge Hasen und Häsinnen sowie Verbandelte und nicht Verbandelte. Beim Treffen wird mein Chor Sound Harmonists ein paar Lieder singen, damit wir alle so richtig in Redelaune kommen. Wer selbst noch ein Stück / eine Darbietung zum Besten geben möchte, ist herzlich dazu eingeladen. Dann lernt man auch einmal andere Seiten von den Kolleginnen kennen.
